Hello artists!

I hope everyone enjoyed a safe and warm winter. While we still have some snow in the mountains, most hiking trails are clear (as of today!). This season of plein air I’ll be hosting a meet-up once a month through the spring and summer. We will meet at 5pm at the designated spot for a brief time before heading out to find a spot to work from.

As you probably know, early morning and late evening sunlight can give us more dramatic color shifts, shapes and shadows. It can be hard to get everyone together early enough in the day to catch that magic so I thought we would try evenings this season of paint-outs. 

All mediums and levels are welcome to these free events. At our first meet- up we will have more of an informative session to share tips, tricks, and supplies needed for making art in the wild. I hope you can join us each month as we grow our skills and widen our artistic practice. 

This is a free, self-guided opportunity to meet with other artists and explore our beautiful state.

• April 27- Staunton State Park (state park pass needed), Pine, meet at the visitor center

• May 18-  Meyer Ranch, Conifer, meet near first trail sign past the parking lot

• June 22- Beaver Ranch, Conifer, meet at the playground

• July 13- Flying J Ranch Park, Conifer, meet at the gazebo next to bathrooms

• August 17- Elk Meadow Park, Evergreen, meet near the first trail sign

• September 14- Pine Valley Ranch Park, Pine, meet at bridge
